A Windows Server with .NET installed (Framework or Core), the IIS web server and usually an MS SQL database. Linux hosting isn't suitable for classic ASP.NET (though .NET Core runs on Linux too).
.NET Core / .NET 5+ — yes, it's cross-platform. But classic ASP.NET (Framework) needs Windows only. If your app uses the old Framework, choose a Windows VPS.
