How much hosting costs in Ukraine, October 2026: shared, VPS and dedicated

In October 2026 hosting in Ukraine costs from 45 hryvnias a month for shared hosting, from a few dollars for a VPS and from 1,409 hryvnias for a dedicated server. On the storefronts those numbers come without context: for which billing term, whether it is a first-period price or the regular one, what you buy separately. On 10 October 2026 we opened the official pricing pages of nine hosts from our catalog and wrote down the cheapest plan of each type in the currency the site shows: hryvnias, dollars or euros, unconverted.

Shared hosting prices: from 45 UAH a month

Shared hosting is the cheapest type: hundreds of sites share one server, and you pay for disk space, the number of sites and CPU and RAM limits. That is enough for a blog, a business card site or a landing page. Entry plans below. Currencies differ, so the order is approximate:

The lowest sticker price belongs to UAhosting, but that is one site and 200 MB. Per gigabyte the best deal is Friendhosting: 5 GB of NVMe for €1.99, although it has no servers in Ukraine. The most sites for the money come from S-Host: five sites and 5 GB for 80 UAH a month on yearly billing. HostIQ asks from $6.13, but gives 25 GB, 10 sites, a 30-day test and a data center in Lviv.

VPS prices: what a virtual server costs

You take a VPS when shared is too tight or you need root access. Entry plans with 512 MB of RAM cost €3.99 to $4.99, but for a CMS site the realistic minimum is 2 GB, which is already €6.15 at ukraine.com.ua or $6.99 at GMhost. Two things in the table are easy to miss. HyperHost's “VPS” runs on VZ container virtualization, while its full KVM servers are called VDS and cost more than twice as much; the difference is explained in the article on KVM vs OpenVZ. And Zomro's storefront says “from €4.95”, yet the cheapest plan in its list is €5.95.

Dedicated server prices: from 1,409 UAH

The cheapest dedicated server in our sample costs about $34 a month (1,409 UAH at TheHost at the site's own exchange rate). As a rule it is old hardware: 2009–2015 processors (Xeon X3430, Dual-Core G3250, Xeon E3 v3, Core i7-6700) with HDDs or SATA SSDs. For a project that needs a whole machine with root access that is enough; for a growing website a VPS is usually simpler and cheaper. The comparison is in the article on renting a dedicated server.

What the price includes and what costs extra

A plan's price covers disk, memory and CPU. Everything else is sometimes in the plan and sometimes a separate line. What we found on the official pages:

• The domain is paid separately and every year. UAhosting advertises domains “from 90 UAH”, but its zone price list puts .com.ua at 500 UAH per year and the same on renewal. ukraine.com.ua asks €14 for .com.ua, HostIQ $16.20 ($9.99 in the autumn promotion). A free domain for the first year comes with S-Host (a year or more), HostIQ (six months or more) and HyperHost (a year or more, except “Mini”).
• SSL is free at S-Host and HyperHost (Let's Encrypt), and also at Zomro, Friendhosting and ukraine.com.ua.
• Backups: Friendhosting copies weekly, HyperHost and Zomro daily. For a shop that is the gap between “yesterday” and “a week ago”.
• A control panel usually comes with shared: ISPmanager at TheHost and Friendhosting, cPanel at Zomro, cPanel or ISPmanager at HyperHost. On VPS and dedicated servers the panel is installed and paid for separately; TheHost, for example, sells ISPsystem licenses as an extra.
• An extra IP address: Friendhosting charges €2.99 a month for IPv4, HostIQ $2 for a dedicated IP. For a €1.99 plan that costs more than the plan.
• Site migration is free at Friendhosting, HyperHost and HostIQ; at TheHost a free-migration promotion was running when we checked.

First-period price and renewal price

The biggest gap between storefront and invoice comes from the term discount. It applies to the whole paid period, and hosts often show the regular price beside it. Examples from the same pages:

• ukraine.com.ua, plan “Fast”: “from €4” a month on a 3-year order (43% off), €7 without the discount.
• HyperHost, plan “Comfort”: $4.77 a month on a 2-year payment, regular price $6.28. The discount is progressive: 24% for 2 years, 12% for a year, 6% for half a year, 3% for a quarter.
• S-Host, plan Small: 89 UAH a month billed monthly and 58 UAH billed for 36 months.
• Friendhosting: promo codes for web hosting (−30%) and VDS (−20%) apply to the first month only, as the promotion's own terms say.
• Domain: UAhosting's promotional “from 90 UAH” against 500 UAH for .com.ua in the zone price list.

None of the pricing pages has a separate “renewal price” line: there are prices for different terms and a “regular” price without the discount. What gets charged on auto-renewal is in the terms of service, or ask support before the first payment.

Yearly or monthly, and what about VAT

On entry plans the gap between monthly billing and a year upfront is 10–20%. UAhosting S-1: 600 UAH for a year month to month against 540. S-Host Small: 1,068 against 960 UAH. TheHost Cloud-1: 3,588 against 3,229 UAH. HostIQ HQ10: $7.67 against $6.13 a month. Over longer terms the discount reaches 20–34%: for TheHost Cloud-1 two years cost 5,739 UAH instead of 7,176.

Pay upfront after a test, not instead of one. By the pages, HyperHost gives a 7-day test, ukraine.com.ua 5 days on hosting and 30 on VPS, HostIQ 30 days, and Zomro a free first month of shared. Friendhosting has no trial but refunds unused funds. Money-back periods per our catalog: 30 days at HostIQ, ukraine.com.ua and S-Host, 14 at TheHost; GMhost and Friendhosting have none listed in the catalog. More on trials in a separate article.

Currency and tax. TheHost, S-Host and UAhosting price in hryvnias; GMhost, HyperHost and HostIQ in dollars; ukraine.com.ua, Zomro and Friendhosting in euros. A foreign-currency invoice means your bank's rate on the day of payment, and paying three years ahead is a bet on the exchange rate. TheHost's pricing page has a separate VAT switch; on the other pages we opened, VAT is not mentioned in the price list, so ask whether the price includes it. A sole proprietor or a company will need primary documents: before paying, confirm that the host issues an invoice and an act in Ukrainian. When a cheap plan stops being enough

A cheap plan has limits, and they are published, if not prominently. Friendhosting's FAQ says Small gets 50% of a core, 512 MB of RAM and 65 processes, Large a full core, 1 GB and 115 processes. UAhosting S-1 has 750 MHz of CPU and 512 MB of RAM, and ukraine.com.ua's “Fast” also has 512 MB. A blog fits; a site with a dozen plugins, a cache and product imports does not. Signs you have hit the ceiling:

• the site returns 503 or 508 errors during an import, a backup or a catalog search;
• the CPU or memory graph in the panel keeps reaching the limit (our own rule: above 70–80% at peaks is a reason to look at the next plan);
• the admin area takes several seconds to open with caching on: the cause is usually the CPU ceiling, not your code;
• you need queues, background processes, Node.js or Docker: on ordinary shared these are limited or missing, and beyond that VPS territory begins.

Speed does not follow from price. In our TTFB test (10.10.2026, one location in the US, minimum of three attempts) Friendhosting's public site answered in 140 ms, HostIQ's in 82 and GMhost's in 252, while S-Host took 1,356 and ukraine.com.ua 1,099 against a median of 596 ms across 32 sites. This is the speed of the host's own website, not of a server rented from it, so treat it as a rough guide. All figures are on the speed test page.

Cheap hosting for an online store

A store keeps products and orders in a database, stores customer sessions and calls a payment module and a delivery service, so you save on it differently than on a business card site. Cheap hosting for an online store means shared with at least 1 GB of memory or a 2 GB VPS.

• Shared with headroom: ukraine.com.ua “Better” (5 sites, 20 GB, 1 GB RAM) costs from €8 a month, regular price €13. HostIQ HQ20: $9.87 monthly, from $7.90 yearly, 30-day test.
• A 2 GB VPS: GMhost UA-VPS-2 is $6.99, ukraine.com.ua VPS 2G €6.15, S-Host VPSn-1 190 UAH (178 UAH on yearly billing). You administer the server yourself. HyperHost takes administration on for free: its VPS “Affordable” (1.5 GB, 2 cores) costs $7.56.
• What to check before paying: daily backups, cron allowed, a current PHP version, and whether the plan blocks outgoing requests that the payment module and the delivery service API need.

Cheap hosting breaks on a limit, not on a price. The price list shows what you pay; the plan page shows how much CPU and memory you get for it.

What to pick: a summary by scenario

• One business card site or landing page, minimum spend: UAhosting S-1 (540 UAH a year) or GMhost V1-SSD ($1.49 a month).
• Several sites with no extras: S-Host Small (80 UAH a month yearly) or HyperHost “Basic” ($3.29, $2.50 on 2 years) with a free domain.
• A CMS site where support matters: TheHost (4.7 from 190 reviews in our catalog) from 699 UAH a year, or HostIQ (4.7 from 454 reviews) from $6.13.
• A store: a 2 GB VPS from $6.99, or shared with at least 1 GB of memory, plus a separate budget line for backups.
• A project that needs a whole server: TheHost from 1,409 UAH and GMhost from $39 to start; HyperHost if you need servers in Ukraine (from $108).

A rough yearly budget from these price lists. Business card site: UAhosting S-1 at 540 UAH plus a .com.ua at 500 UAH makes 1,040 UAH, while with S-Host Small on yearly billing the domain is free and the whole first year costs 960 UAH. A store on a VPS: $6.99 × 12 = $83.88 plus the domain and backups.
