HostIQ vs Ukraine.com.ua (Hosting Ukraine): 2026 comparison

HostIQ and "Hosting Ukraine" (Ukraine.com.ua) keep turning up side by side in search results. Both are Ukrainian, both started in the late 2000s (2009 and 2008 according to our catalog), and both sell shared hosting, VPS and servers. Their bets differ, though: HostIQ leans on speed, Ukraine.com.ua on scale and a long list of services.

We compared them using the data in our ranking of hosting in Ukraine: rating, reviews, price, trial terms, locations, pros and cons, plus speed measurements from 10 October 2026. A verdict on who should pick which comes at the end.

Speed: 82 ms against 1099 ms

This is the strongest argument for HostIQ. On 10 October 2026 we measured the response time (TTFB) of the public websites of 32 hosts: three attempts each, the minimum goes into the table, one request location (a GitHub runner in the US). HostIQ answered in 82 ms and came second, behind 1Gbits (56 ms). Ukraine.com.ua scored 1099 ms and landed in 26th place. The gap is visible without a calculator.

TTFB is the time from the request to the first byte of the response, and a slow start eats into your Core Web Vitals budget before the browser has drawn anything.

For scale: the median across all 32 hosts is 596 ms, and the threshold for "fast" in our table is 700 ms. HostIQ is more than seven times faster than the median; Ukraine.com.ua is almost twice as slow. Full HTML load: 115 ms against 1500 ms. TLS handshake: 43 ms against 644 ms. Both use HTTP/2.

HostIQ's lead is not a one-off. In our June test of 31 hosts it was also first among classic hosting providers (421 ms against a median of 1121 ms); details are in the article on Ukrainian hosting speed tests. The full table is on the /tests page.

What these numbers mean, and what they don't

We measure a host's public website, not a server rented from it. An 82 ms response with a 43 ms TLS handshake from a US runner looks like a CDN node close to the runner rather than a reply from a server in Lviv. So the figure shows how the company builds its own network and compares hosts fairly against each other, but it does not promise the same speed for your site on its plans. Absolute milliseconds depend on where you measure from.

Price: what the catalog shows and what the sites say

In the catalog HostIQ starts at $7.67/mo and Ukraine.com.ua at $6.88/mo. The gap is about 11%, and these are minimums on monthly billing, not a specific plan. On HostIQ's home page shared hosting starts at $6.13/mo in October 2026, WordPress hosting at $6.30 and VIP hosting on NVMe at $10.99. At Ukraine.com.ua the cheapest shared plan, "Швидкий" (Fast), starts at 4 €/mo, with 7 €/mo shown next to it.

For a small site the like-for-like comparison is $6.13 against 4 €. A difference of a few dollars a month, not multiples. For that money you get either a faster start (HostIQ) or a longer list of services in one account (Ukraine.com.ua). Look at the renewal price too, and ask about it before you pay.

Catalog and provider sites agree on trial terms

In the catalog HostIQ has a 30-day trial, and Ukraine.com.ua a 5-day trial plus a 30-day money-back guarantee. That matches what their sites advertise in October 2026. Providers change terms, so check them before paying.

Ukraine.com.ua: scale and a long list of services

Ukraine.com.ua's strength is that next to hosting the account holds almost everything a project needs: domains, SSL, VPS and dedicated servers, corporate mail, a site builder, plus CDN, storage and MySQL, PostgreSQL and Redis databases (per the list on the provider's site). For an agency or small business that would rather not split domain, mail and site across three vendors, that saves time.

The servers sit in the company's own data centre in Ukraine, and the catalog lists a single location. For a Ukrainian audience that is a plus (low ping, data kept in the country); for projects aimed at Europe or the US it is a limit. Support is advertised as 24/7: a hotline, chat, Telegram and tickets. The provider lists NVMe disks, IPv6 and DDoS protection on its home page, so check them on the specific plan.

HostIQ: speed, three locations and 30 days to try

HostIQ is smaller in scale but bets on speed. Its site states the LiteSpeed web server and SSD disks for shared hosting, NVMe in the VIP plans and the cPanel control panel. The data centres are in Lviv, Rotterdam and Atlanta, which the catalog records as UA, NL and US. A Ukrainian site naturally sits in Ukraine; a project with European or American traffic can sit closer to its audience.

It also sells WordPress hosting, a site builder, mail, VPS and dedicated servers. The downsides on our card: prices above the budget segment, and plans and terms worth checking on the host's own site.

HostIQ reviews and Ukraine.com.ua reviews: 454 against 45

HostIQ: 454 reviews in our database, 415 of them positive (91%), an average score of about 4.7 out of 5, in line with the card rating. There are 39 negative ones. The recurring themes: automatic renewal and refunds, trouble during migration, and the quality of support replies. Most reviews date from 2015–2016 and 2020–2021; the newest is from October 2024.

Ukraine.com.ua: 45 reviews, 17 positive and 28 negative. The card rating is 4.3, but the reviews are harsher than that number. The negative ones repeat complaints about rising prices and a discontinued loyalty programme, sites slowing down under load (an online shop, several projects), mail problems and support replies along the lines of "everything is fine on our side". Among the positive ones, some customers say they have stayed for around ten years and praise the panel and support.

Unhappy customers write more often than happy ones, so 28 out of 45 is not yet a verdict. Just check the renewal price and the trial carefully. Read the reviews of both hosts on their cards: HostIQ and Ukraine.com.ua.

Who should pick which

HostIQ, if you

  • run a speed-sensitive site: a shop, an ad landing page, WordPress with plenty of visitors;
  • want the Netherlands or the US as a neighbour to Ukraine;
  • want 30 days to try and can pay a bit more at the start. You can order through HostIQ.

Ukraine.com.ua, if you

  • find it easier to keep the domain, mail, hosting and servers with one supplier;
  • have a Ukrainian audience and a minimal starting budget (from 4 €/mo). You can see the plans on Ukraine.com.ua;
  • care about a Ukrainian data centre and 24/7 support with a hotline.

Neither, if you

care most about the lowest budget at decent speed. Take a look at GMhost: from $1.49/mo in the catalog, a 7-day trial and 252 ms in our test. Or pick an option from shared hosting in Ukraine.

How to check your choice in 15 minutes

  • Take the trial or money-back guarantee at both hosts and write down the dates.
  • Move a copy of your site while the main one keeps running on the old hosting.
  • Run curl -o /dev/null -s -w '%{time_starttransfer}\n' https://your-site three times and keep the minimum. This is our method and it is easy to repeat.
  • Ask support what renewal will cost and whether auto-renewal is on.
  • Switch DNS only once the numbers satisfy you.

Verdict: what to choose

In short: on speed in our test HostIQ beats Ukraine.com.ua by a factor of 13 (82 ms against 1099 ms), and it also leads on reviews (91% positive against 38%). Ukraine.com.ua wins on the range of services in one account and a lower entry price. Compare other Ukrainian options in our ranking.

You can see the gap between 82 and 1099 ms, but it is not what decides the matter. Take a trial, move a copy of your own site and measure it yourself: that shows you what no ranking can.
