About the category

VPS hosting in Europe on Linux with DDoS protection

A curated selection: VPS hosting in Europe on Linux with DDoS protection. We picked providers matching these criteria and sorted them by rating and real reviews.

What matters about this combination of criteria: A VPS gives dedicated resources and root access — full control over the server. European sites combine low latency to UA with GDPR compliance. Linux is a stable, free foundation for most sites and applications. DDoS protection filters attack traffic before it reaches the server.

Bottom line: for most projects in Ukraine the ideal VPS means NVMe storage, a 99.9%+ SLA, a convenient panel and support in your language. Start with the ranking leaders above and compare them side by side.

How we test

  • 1We measure performance across plans

Frequently asked questions

A VPS gives you dedicated resources (CPU, RAM, disk) and root access — you fully control the server. Shared hosting splits resources between sites and limits configuration.
Entry plans start at $1.5–4/mo for 1 vCPU and 1–2 GB RAM. A full-site configuration (2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, NVMe) runs around $6–12/mo.
European data centres combine solid infrastructure, GDPR compliance and low latency to a Ukrainian audience (25–40 ms). It's the optimal balance of price, speed and stability.
Germany (Frankfurt) is Europe's largest internet hub with the best infrastructure. The Netherlands offers permissive law and proximity to UA. Poland is the cheapest option with low latency.
Linux is free, stable, secure and light on resources. Over 90% of the world's sites run on Linux, so all web technologies are optimized for it.
Ubuntu — most beginner-friendly with lots of documentation. Debian — maximally stable. AlmaLinux/Rocky — a CentOS replacement for those used to the RHEL ecosystem.

Good

5 лет использую данный хостинг на разных сайтах, за это время даже не посещала мысль перейти на другой. одна из главных фишек этого хостинга это чат-поддержка, да и в целом отличный фидбек всегда получаю.

Good

Размещаюсь в Украине на Схосте. Хороший пинг, быстрый шустрый хост. В общем то тех. поддержка тоже хорошая, не знаю к чему прикопаться, чтобы быть обьективным.
